Salient Features
The Central library has been built to International Standards, Spreads over to four floors with an area of 400 sq.m. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, CCTV and book security system. Specialized collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities and Social Sciences. The Collection replete with 6,250 Documents, 6,120 Volumes of Books 294 CDs. 100 video cassettes and 105 Audio Cassettes.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Top.. Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of the Institute. The department currently runs undergraduate programme: B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) and postgraduate programme: M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering). Objective of the Undergraduate programme is to prepare the manpower that is globally the best. Most of the students, who will be graduate from the department, end up taking, leading positions in industry, academics and governmental in both India and abroad. Mechanical Engineering is one of the departments of the institute with an annual intake of 60 students. The department has faculty strength of 12. The department has a technical staff of 6 who are associated with 6 different laboratories. The department is very well equipped with Computational facilities and recourses both in terms of software & hardware. « B.Tech. (Mechanical Engg.) - 60 Seats SOME OF THE KEY FEATURES OF THE DEPARTMENT ARE 1. Teacher- Student Ratio i.e 1:15. 2.
