MEC campus boasts of one of the best computing networks in India. With constant upgradation in a bid to provide the students and staff with state-of-the art facilities, the Institute will earn a reputation of excellence across a range of computer-based disciplines. Its comprehensive infrastructure includes 5 Servers, 2 Workstations, 100 Desktops (Dell), 10 Printers and over 15 Laptops (Dell).
The highly distributed computing environment at MEC uses cutting-edge computer simulation to solve problems for industry and academia. It is managed, and actively supported, by the Centre for Technical Support (CTS) that has strength of 30 highly qualified and experienced technicians. The MEC provides its own Email IDs to all its employees and Students.
MEC has invested in an ultra high-speed Fibre Optic Backbone for networking across the campus. Wireless connectivity is provided at strategic locations to provide Internet access to the faculty.

This is a sophisticated networking lab, where students are trained in network administration, configuration, network programming, wireless and security. It contains routers, switches, firewalls and security software
THE PROGRAMMING LANGUAGU LABORATORY
The computing laboratory consists of 100 network computers spread across three labs. Here, students work in high level programming languages such as C, C++, VB, VC++, Java and COBOL.
RDBMS LABORATORY
Information retrieval using the Internet, knowledge discovery and financial prediction are applications of common interest in an enterprise system. The RDBMS lab has more than 15 computers. Multimedia, image and video databases and geographic information systems are some of the fields actively pursued in this lab. Students design and develop database projects on DB2, ORACLE AND SQL Server 2012.
This advanced computing laboratory trains students in collaboration with Microsoft, on Microsoft products and middleware technologies such as VB.Net and ASP.Net 30 computer systems have been installed for training.
SOFTWARE ENGINEERING LABORATORY
The objective of the Software Engineering lab is to familiarize students with the software development lifecycle, so that they are trained well in the various phases of test tools and CASE tools. Students are trained in Test Runner, Silk Runner, CASE tools, Rational Suite for testing, SVC and Smart Draw.
