Mahabir Educational Welfare Society has a proud history spanning over 9 years dedicated to Mahabir School of Nursing, Mahabir College of Nursing, Mahabir College of Education laying the foundation to being a committed service to the society. Now, we are inclined to serve the region by providing technical education from 2013. Mahabir Engineering College (MEC) will be a premier technical institute of international repute and the biggest testimony to MEC’s rapid progress is the impressive list of companies choosing to participate in placements year after year, in previous courses progressively.

The success of the institute is evident from the steadily improving results of students in university examinations and worth mentioning record of students’s placements in renowned organizations. This has been possible with the strong support of enthusiastic management, dedicated team of faculty members, administrative staff and our excellent corporate cells. Their achievements remind me of the responsibilities shouldered on us by the parents of the students whose dream of the day when they will be recognized by their wards’ name and their achievements.

Thus, our mission at MEC is to be achieved excellence in all Endeavour’s –be it education, training or personal development of students combined with creation and application of knowledge to create a synergetic impact. We will also continuously strive towards building up of an organization with a global vision and to give back to the society what we got from them through the means of education & training by grooming future leaders.

Congratulations on joining the Mahabir Engineering College (MEC), Ambala City fraternity. On behalf of the Institute, I welcome you all in this institute in Ambala, a place where we synergize academics and human values with equal concern for environment too. We will not only strive to train the students to become technocrats, thinkers but also help them to mould themselves into better human beings with leadership qualities.

Our aim is to promote the interests of MEC in setting a world standard of academic excellence by strengthening the ties of goodwill and communication between the Institute & Industry by maintaining programs to serve their needs.

To start with, a 4-year B. Tech Program which is offered in five branches, viz., Civil Engineering-120, Mechanical Engineering-120, Computer Science & Engineering-60, Electronics & Communication Engineering-60 and Electrical & Electronics Engineering-60 from the academic year 2013-2014.

We hope that you would work with your full potential and bring out the best in you. We are sure that the excellent academic environment and the opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities will also help you in developing your over-all personality. I believe that your education in MEC, Ambala City will be a fulfilling experience. There would be of course times when you are home-sick, especially during the initial phase of your stay here. During these times, I will strongly suggest that you should not hesitate in seeking help from your Teacher- Guardians and institute authorities.

I sincerely hope that your academic pursuit in MEC, Ambala City will be fruitful and enjoyable in every aspect and the experiences you gain here and the moments you spend here will be cherished throughout your life.

 With high hope, I wish the students a bright future filled with joy and success. All great men of the world who have achieved pinnacles of success were not freaks of nature. Success did not fall in their laps from heaven. They sweated for it. Simple virtues of tenacity, willingness, readiness, alertness, courtesy and hard work will carry you further than mere passing the test. As we all know “In the arena of human life the honors and rewards fall to those who show their good qualities in action.” It means, we can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.
